An export program is a course and a set of introductions, not a launch. The work in a new market starts after it.

What We Announced.

ComplyFlow joined the NSW Going Global Export Program, run by Investment NSW, with the aim of taking our contractor and workforce compliance platform into the United Kingdom. That is the news, and it is a short piece of news.

What the Going Global Export Program Is.

The NSW Government describes the Going Global Export Program as a free program for New South Wales small to medium businesses that are either new to exporting or entering a new international market. It runs over 2 to 4 months, and participants get expert-led workshops, market intelligence briefings, cultural and pitch training, introductions to potential partners and buyers, and in-market visits supported by dedicated trade representatives.1

Eligibility is worth knowing if you are considering it yourself. The applicant business must have a demonstrated New South Wales footprint, must be new to the market with demonstrated export capability and market suitability, and must meet any discretionary criteria set for the specific program. Applicants who clear the core criteria are then assessed on merit. Aggregators, traders and consultants are not eligible, and overseas travel, accommodation and related costs are not included.1

In other words, it is a structured course and a set of introductions. It is not a launch, and it is not a grant that pays for one.

What We Said We Would Take to the UK.

The case we put was that UK buyers were looking for better ways to manage compliance with complex and changing regulation across their operations and their supply chains, and to spend less of their week on the administration of it. That is the same problem our Australian customers bring us, described in different legislation.

The specific capability we pointed at was the contractor side. Connect worker sharing lets a contractor share worker profiles, and the global documents attached to them, with an external client through a single link, rather than emailing worker records to every client that asks for them.2 A supplier working for several clients at once feels that problem before anyone else does, which is the subject of our post on keeping a workforce ready for every client at once.

Start With the Worker Records, Then the Supply Chain.

Our workforce compliance page sets out how the worker records are kept current, and about ComplyFlow covers who we are and where we work from.

If you are on either side of a supply chain and the paperwork is the slow part, book a demo.
